メリークリスマス

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's been an incredibly fast year, and it's over again.

I'll be home in two weeks and a day.

So close.

Happy New Year (early, but still)

>.>

I feel slightly nauseous from looking at prom pictures of everyone I love.

Seriously.

So sad.

What? What? What?

So I'm not at school today, though I would usually be. Five kids in my class had influenza on tuesday morning, so we all get the week off school. I'm just hoping we don't have to make it up during the school holidays, because that would suck.

I have a cold, and a cough and I am therefore wearing one of those sexy masks.

I got a haircut so I don't look like such a douche.

Haven't seen the doctor who waters-on-mars special yet because my neighbour hid his ssid, not that I was using his wi-fi >_>

I dunno.

I'm very depressed everyone's finished year 12.

I'm all alone

So, back to Myspace

Yeah, I gave in, and I'm back on Myspace. Feel free to friend me. I won't be one of those people who gives a personal philosophy or "advice to you" in my About Me section. Geez.

Anyhow, I'm in crappy mood today, so I thought I'd go on THIS MORALITY QUEST.

Starting tonight's show is Exodus International, which is now really called Exodus Global Alliance but they don't seem to have updated their other site since the 90s.

Exodus Global Alliance is an international (duh) organisation who are; well, according to their website;

"...a nonprofit, interdenominational Christian organization promoting the message of Freedom from homosexuality through the power of Jesus Christ."

Now, that's okay. A few years ago, I found out about them and IMMEDIATELY sent a VERY ANGRY email to them. But now I think about it, they're giving people who can't deal with their identity a way to find comfort. I'm sorta on the fence about all this, as it is quite a heady topic.

Here, taken from their "Thinking of Leaving Homosexuality?" page (btw, that's just LOL. It's not quite as they describe it, but still)

"Are you struggling with unwanted same-sex attractions? Maybe you have lived as a homosexual for a long time, but now are looking for a way out."

See, I don't think you can change your sexuality, but I do think that they're helping people who can't cope to deal. It's not the right way, ultimately, all you can do is try to come to terms with it, but still.

Now this is where I take issue:

"The bottom line - you don't have to be gay! You can lead a life of fulfillment and holiness as God intended, a life far better than what you have experienced so far."

Firstly, I'm just gonna point out that on the actual site, on the word "gay" there's a little pop-up dictionary-style thing that defines gay as "homosexual", for those of you who didn't understand.

Now, I don't like either side of the second sentence. I don't think God (if there is a god of any kind) would intend for heterosexuality anymore than homosexuality, and I don't think heterosexuals necessarily have far better lives than homosexuals. After all, the Church basically says that we should all get married and that leads to a nagging wife, something I'm sure I'll have to go through upon marriage. (I kid.)

And though I'm not sure these people should be allowed to have any contact with youth at all, for fear of teaching them anti-homosexual ideals, I must admit their youth site has some other good things on it. Actually, I take back that slag from just now, because they don't specifically say its wrong, they just imply there are better ways to life. I suppose that's okay, each to his own.

And then I read the testimonials. Everytime there's something to bring these people back to "they're okay", there's something else to go "psychos". I think I might just leave them, now.

Actually, just first, from the aforementioned youth page,

"It’s true that homophobia is alive and well today; groups like the Westborough Baptist church aren’t making the load easier for anybody. They totally just slammed another organisation like themselves.

-----
That Westboro Baptist Church, though, I had to look them up. Their site is www.godhatesfags.com, which should be an indication of how accepting they are right from the start. Exodus doesn't even compare.

This church claims to be a Primitive Baptist church, though the Primitive Baptist Church denies this, renouncing the WBC and it's founder Fred Phelps. He's a piece of work, apparently famous for his statements like "Thank God for Dead Soldiers", "God Hates Fags", "Priests Rape Boys" and "America is Doomed". (As a sidebar, America IS doomed, but so is everywhere else.) (As another sidebar, www.priestsrapeboys.com and www.americaisdoomed.com both exist, as well as a few others).

I don't really want to get started on this lot, but they are just irreverant. On top of this homophobic rubbish, they also have a site that accuses the Catholic Church of many horrors, another that accuses Obama of being the Anti-Christ, and another that points out that the Jews killed Jesus (which we all know, that's why he's holy), and claims they are despised by the world. I can't even begin to point out how horrible they are. On their wikipedia article, though, there's a picture where a bunch of gay and lesbian college students turned up at their protests and started kissing in front of them. LOL.

-----

That's all for now. But I just felt angry when I saw the Westboro Baptist Church. Exodus seems misguided at worst.

Time Machine Post #14: Moving in

Today I moved in. My family are lovely and because I'm a time-traveller and actually wrote this a month after the fact, I know we will be getting on swimmingly very soon. I have a Mum, Dad, and brother who is a month older than me. We live near school and I will be riding a bike there.

Yay!

Time Machine Post #13: SUPER TOURISTY DAY

Oh my gosh, today I took 413 pictures.

Basically, I went this morning to catch the Shonan Monorail from Ofuna station.

I took it from Ofuna, in Kamakura City, (next to Yokohama), and rode it all the way to quaint Enoshima in Fujisawa City.

From there, I walked about 15-20 mintues to Enoshima, this gorgeous little island off the shore of Fujisawa City.

There were a lot of temples. And SO MANY STAIRS.

I went to these gardens, the Samuel Cocking Gardens.

Samuel Cocking (1842~1914) was a British trader in Yokohama after Japan was opened to the western world during the Meiji period. His company specialised in art, but he made his fortune in importing choloric acid, a disinfectant afainst cholera. He then bought these gardens and made these beautiful botanic gardens. He later built a power plant, which contributed to the industry of Yokohama.

End history lesson!

There's an awesome lighthouse;

and this awesome lighthouse has an awesome view of the awesome gardens;

After that, I went down to some caves.

The caves were quite cool, and they're said (a legend) to lead all the way to Mt. Fuji (about 150km).

And then I left for Kamakura.

Just as a note, there were a LOT of cats. I saw about eight different ones.

I caught this cute little tram, the Enoshima Electric Line, to Kamakura. It was very rustic-looking (the stations anyhow), and I loved it.

The first thing I did in Kamakura, was go see the Big Buddha.

It was cool, and while you can usually go inside, you couldn't this day because it was already closed because it was getting late.

Then I tried to go to another place, but it got dark. It was in the middle of a mountain or something, and you had to go through a tunnel to get to it, so I chickened out, and went home.

THE END.

Time Machine Post #12: Hanging with Llydia!

Today, the Time Machine takes us to the 23rd of September.

Today me and Llydia from America decided to hang out. She had tickets to get into an indoor themepark called Sega Joypolis in Odaiba, Tokyo.

We did go, and it failed. Very hard. The only good things were:

a) Seeing a guy in a Sonic suit;

and

b) Doing PURIKURA

Time Machine Post #11: School Festival

So, the School Festival was yesterday and the day before (19th/20th of September, this is a time machine, remember.)

So, yeah, we had the School Festival. In class we sold waffles and tapioca.

We decorated the room yellow and white like this, and we had some pictures on one wall:

It was a general success. From the 1500 yen we put in each, we got 2700 back, a 1200 yen profit.

In English club, we made a giant dinosaur, from pipes, toilet paper and cardboard. It was AWESOME.

The head was styrofoam. We did quite a bit of work, it took quite a long time. But it turned out freaking awesome <3
Pretty SEXY, right?

Then we had a FAIL students only thing, got glowstick wristbands:

and then we had fireworks, no pictures, though.

And that was the school festival. Six weeks of pain for two days.

Elmo's World!

Just kidding. That was 100% a misnomer. This has nothing to do with Elmo. (ELMO-L=LOL)

Firstly, the boring-as-hell WHO'S THAT ANON!!! game.

This time:

from 'anon.';
"You're wrong, Aidan!! Hehe. I'll tell you soon enough.

You still didn't answer my question. And I'm not surprised you didn't have me as a suspect :D

x "

Reply: I'm not gonna answer your question because I don't want my blog to be raped by my exchange company. Also, I now doubt it is my mother (I thought it might be), because you wrote ":D".

from 'Anonymous';
"I notice jake doesn't have a chin... "

Reply: THAT'S BECAUSE HE'S A CHINLESS MINGER!! (just kidding). Now, I thought this 'Anonymous' was Georgia, and I'm sure the first one from he/she/it was, but now I'm not so sure.

I KNOW WHO IT IS!!!!

IT'S LAURA!!!

I know it's you, Laura, admit it! :)

You and bloody Dale Thomas! >_>

----

In other news, I went to English club today. For the school fair (on the 19th/20th), we're going to make a dinosaur. It will be based on a pipe-thing that you use in your garden that is about 1cm thick and green plastic on the outside with bendy metal in the middle. We'll make it 8m long, head to tail. We'll put toilet rolls (the whole white thing), varying in thickness/paperness, and then will make legs from the same pipe things, and make newspaper casts for them. Then we'll thread cardboard rib-style 'bones' in between the toilet rolls and it'll be wicked!

:)

I will have pictures.

Any other pictures worth it will come up soon.

The fun continues!

Welcome to the next episode of:

WHO'S THAT POKEMON ANON?

There is at least two people commenting on my blog atm. Maybe 3.

See, from a few days ago, I've been getting random comments from anonymous readers.

First was this:
'Hey!
I didn't realise you still blogged, but there you go.
I love how even after 5 months your personality hasn't changed a bit! And congrats on your weight loss :)
I remember that camera - it was such a good one too. Stupid Cosmo World guy. I didn't think it was that breakable.
You should blog more!!'

Suspects:
1. Jade (aka Jad, Jadii, Jadmeister, Heifer, Jadminger, Raddii Jaddii who is Saddii cus she lives in Gladdii which is Baddii)
Photobucket

2. Lili (aka Radpants, Super Non-tact Girl, Lillah Millah) (This wasn't a likely one, but...)

May have stolen that picture. >_>

I WAS going to draw on it but changed my mind.

3. Susan (fellow exchange student who has a funny last name)

Photobucket

Now, that was signed as 'anon.', so I thought it might be my friends Sophia or Jake

WHO ARE YOU?

'Hey, you have 2 anonymous commenters!!

And huh?!? What could you have done to make your host family want you gone?

Very confused.

Calmin' down

Okay.

I've thought hard and I think I might, for the time being, stay here in Japan. It won't hurt to give it another shot and all I can do is look forward to getting a better host family.

My host mum is gonna drop off a package I got from one Miss Lili Mei-Ling Wilkinson, who is not replying to my emails atm, as she is probably still in England, and/or very busy.

A new comment from my nice anon:
'aidan, it;s you're best friend here,
if you really feel its your need to leave then leave.
but i think you should stay there, '

I KNOW WHO YOU ARE :)

I love ya!

Who wants to hear something outrageous?

Hi Guys!

Here's a fun story.

Last night my host parents decided they didn't want me anymore. That's okay. I imagined they'd just put up with me until I got my new family.

And then, at 11.30pm, I got a shock when I was woken up.

I got a bigger shock, when at 12pm, I was told to pack my bags, and I was out of the house at 2.10am this morning.

My host rep is putting me up, because he's awesome.

I went to talk to my company today, and I'm going to wait till Friday, see if I feel better and decide I want to stay in Japan.

If you asked me now, I'd sound pretty unenthused.

Oh well, what can you do?

---

In other news, I got this comment:
'Hey!
I didn't realise you still blogged, but there you go.
I love how even after 5 months your personality hasn't changed a bit! And congrats on your weight loss :)

Thankyou, friend.

Might be home soon, or I might find a reason to stay.

Dear readers of my blog! (if there are any of you left) (^_-)〜☆

I'm finally writing a post! Just a tip: if you become an exchange student, and go to Japan. Don't break the rules. Do not use the internet in your room without permission. Especially if your email-equipped mobile is in your host parent's name. Because it will suck. Let's just say, I've learnt my lesson. Well, I've got my phone back. And I won't be doing a stupid thing like that again.

Since my last post all those many moons ago, I have been very busy. I believe I mentioned joining the school band. If not, well, I joined the school band. Which is not like my school band. It is hard. As in, normally, practise after school from 3.40 to 6.00 every day and on saturday from 9 to 3. Plus an optional practise before school. Well, that's normal. We had a concert a fortnight ago saturday. So for all of June, we practised like a... um... a lot, anyway. As in, practise after school until 7, practise on saturday cut back to 12 and on sunday a 9-4 practise at the school we were doing the concert with. So we did the concert at the Yokosuka City Cultural Hall (横須賀市文化会館), and it was the joint concert of my school, Yokohama So-gakukan High School (横浜創学館高等学校) and North Kawasaki City Public High School (県立川崎市北高校).

I thought we did really well. I only noticed one mistake; when my school played a song called 'Songs of Old Kentucky', the flutes (my section @_@) came in a bar late. Like 3 seconds late. And it wasn't very conspicuous. We were supposed to lead a round and instead just blended in to the following oboe section. We also caught up by the next phase of the piece. That was a bit bad, but overall we did awesome. But, of course, when we listened to the tape, they were all going,

"I'M SO SORRY!! I'LL DO BETTER NEXT TIME!!"

Even the teacher was like, "Well, we did crap." I tried not to slap them. They did so good. I don't understand. (T-T) <-My phone has a bunch of these in it.

Basically, band is all I've done for the last month. Other than that, I go to English club each week, and after the concert, I had one day's grace of a holiday and went to the bazaar at my host sister's preschool. It was cute.

This weekend just gone, I went camping with my host family and their friends at a place called Kannogawa (神之川). It was my first time camping, even if we stayed in a cabinny thing, not a tent. But it was fun. It was down near this beautiful river and I had a great time.

This week is exam week. They're all finished now though. They look okay except for biology, traditional Japanese and Japanese history. Unlike so many of my friends I had to do ALL my exams. Tomorrow, no school, just band. From a disgustingly early 7.30, to 1pm. And then we have to do something in the evening from 6 to 8. I'm SO EXCITED. (+_+) I'm still waiting for someone to make a punctuation for sarcasm. I charge that to you, LAURA. I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN YOU. You'll never escape! WAHAHAHAHA!

I'm thinkin about talking to Jenny Craig. I have lost 26 kilos in three months. It's a Christmas miracle. But if you want to lose 26 kilos, don't become an exchange student to Japan. Anorexia is a lot cheaper. (^_-)〜☆

That's all I have for now. I'd like emails. I'm at the happyーtoーgetーspam stage.

It's amccarthy (at) softbank (dot) ne (dot) jp.

Love Aidan

So, I'm at school. This will most likely take me over 9000 years because I'm typing this out on my phone, pressing the buttons with my pen. I'm allowed to use my phone, I just can't be bothered to pick it up.

I have ABBA stuck in my head.

KNOWING ME
KNOWING YOU
AHA〜
THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO〜!

I have a video of my mum and aunt playing singstar ABBA. LOL.

BTW. Even if you don't have a Blogger/Google account, you can comment.

So get to it!

They highlight their textbooks here. I refuse.

My main/only problem I've had is being tired. But w/e. That's because I'm a late upstaying noob.

But I honestly cannot understand what the kid in front of me does to be so tired that he sleeps EVERY LESSON.

Everyday after school I have band practise which sets me getting home about seven thirty, eight.

I also have it most Saturdays, which goes from 9am to 3pm.

That's long.

But w/e.

I really want to do it, and while I probably won't be able to go to some performances, I will surely going to practise.

Something that is really cool. After exams. Class trip. To. DISNEYSEA. WANT.

Mm.

That's all.

I've been busy.

My neck hurts...

So, yeah.

Hi.

It was Lili's birthday on Tuesday. I had a reminder set and everything but I never got the chance to say happy birthday/I forgot.

Lili, happy birtYOU'RE OLD NOWhday.

My neck hurts. /title

I went to the Kendo club today. It was fun to watch. Seeing I was forcefully signed up I practically have to do it but the people are nice so I think I might.
But if the teacher calls me by my last name again I will have to stab her. and|or tell her to call me Aidan.

They weighed/heighted me today. I'm 192cm and I've lost 5 kilos since coming to Japan.
Also, perfect vision in both eyes.

They do health checks here.

Oh, and pee sample next week.

FUN.

Although, my aunt gave me a heart attack by explaining it as a 'pee-pee check'. I was like O.O

But it's okay. I just get to have a teacher watch me pee. FUN.

Yesterday I had a nice long chat with a grade 1 (grade 10) on the way to school from the train station. One day I might tape my way to school and put it on youtube. But on the train it's always like

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

people in the space that should fit two.

>.>

Did you like how I iMovied stuff up and stuff for my uniform video.

Just had an awesome conversation.

Telly: WE WISH
Me: YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS
Aki: eh?
Me: eh?
Aki: Merry Christmas?
Me: eh?
Aki: Nani? (What?)
Me: NANI.
Aki: Nani?!
Me: NANDEMONAI. (Nothing.)

It was fun. You wish (you were in Japan)|(spoke Japanese)|(sucked-at Japanese).

I fail so hard at Japanese I win.

And girls squeal when I speak Japanese.

Today in class we were reading about some baseball guy named Pete Grey (???) and there was his motto: "Winners never quit."

My teacher was like JAPANESEJAPANESEJAPANESE . I was like "Winners never quit." and she was like "Whaaaa..fantastic, isn't it?" (/translated).

I'm a "volunteer" in the homeroom. IDK. Picking up rubbish I suppose.

Maybe I'll go to Harajuku with Amber this weekend. I hope so.

I will eventually have pictures of everything on my MySpace.

Eventually.

...

That's it.

Bai.
Everyday I walk past a seven eleven. I was looking in the window and there were at least four magazines with pictures of Matsumoto Jun on the front.

I lol'd.

Uniform & Speech

I DID SO BAD (yesterday)

I walked to the ground in my indoor shoes and by the time I went to go get my shoes my teacher had locked the room.

Then the microphone was like three seconds ahead of the speakers so i got really confused and I doubt they could even understand me.

GREAT START.

Also.

Today, I was talking to some girls. It went something like this.

Girl: How tall are you?
Me: 195cm.
Girls: *squeal*
Me: LOLWHUT
Girl: *High-fives*
Girl: Your hand is big! Show me!
Girls: *squeal*
Girl: WHAT SIZE ARE YOUR FEET?!
Me: Um.... 32?
Girls: *squeal some more*
Teacher: HURRY AND GET TO CLASS
Everyone: *runs away*

Yearrrh...

I found a Japanese Jade, Cheanna, Bec and Robbie. And a Japanese Fran and Kaitlyn. And for some reason, my homeroom teacher reminds me of my Australian (but actually English) homeroom teacher.

And a vid. About uniform. Watch now. Especially if your name is Jade.

Today was fun. I got up at 8.30, had breakfast and got ready for the day. Me, Kiyo and Hinata went to Tsutaya, the video rental place and got some dvds. I got Kimi Wa Petto and we left to go home. By then it was 11:30 so we went home and had to go to the station.

PRETTY SAKURA

Makku!

I ended up getting that McFlurry. And then aki bought me a piece of green tea cake. It was awesome.

Kenta?

So i'm at KFC. In Japan. We were gonna go to Macca's but there was no room. Maybe later i'll get a green tea and oreo Mcflurry. That's right.

Here they have Furifuri Potato, which is probably the result of illegal cross-breeding of Kenta's chips and Makku's Shaka Shaka Chicken, which is pretty much awesome. You buy this chicken which comes in a baggy, you add seasoning and shake.

Honeyed chicken on a burger here. Awesome.

bye

Okay

Still loving Japan.

Played Bio Hazard with Yuuko and Aki for like two hours on wednesday.

Got my phone. Yay.

Lost my dictionary.

But it was in my bag (d'urggggg >_>)

Went to school. Met the principal. Mondo awkward. Hardly spoke. AT all. I've become really quiet since coming to coming to Japan.

Got my uniform fitted. Kakkouii. LOL.

Amber from el PIEE may come over soon.

School on monday.

Gotta speak to guardians of the first-years, in Japanese, for a minute. Then...um...teachers. Then on Tuesday, the WHOLE SCHOOL. and then my homeroom. But back to the WHOLE SCHOOL. The WHOLE SCHOOL is ONE THOUSAND STUDENTS. I'Ve gotta speak in front of ONE THOUSAND STUDENTS. I nearly wet myself standing in front of five hundred students. I can NOT speak to ONE THOUSAND STUDENTS.

AAAAA.

Time for an update!

Okay lately my posts have been lame. Mostly because I'm using my host family's computer. Soon I'll be able to use my own, uploade photos, videos, etc.

Until then, text.

Yesterday, went to Kamakura. We went to Hachimangu, this big shrine and it was totally awesome. So totally awesome. Incredibly totally so awesome times ten.

I ate raw fish for the FIRST TIMe the other night, Lili. I also like Natto.

I just ate four Tim Tams.

My host mother and aunty both love Kimi wa Petto, just like me (^_^). They both love MatsuJun. LOLgasm.

Hichan is adorable. Repeats what you say and adds "janai yo" which means "not ~"

My host dad loves Vegemite. NOMNOMNOM. The tubes are really really hard to use though.

Got some emails from some awesome ryuugakusei friends. I's happy.

I've started a diary. If anyone reads it, they'll know everything about me >_>. Therefore, it's in english.

My Aus-Japan power converters work with anything with two prongs: i.e. anything but my COMPUTER. The most important device I brought. >_>

I'm still thinking in English but when I think yes, I immediately say 'hai'. It's weird. e.g. Today, I met my area representative for the first time, and he was all like "englishenglishenglish" and I was like "hai" and he gave me a weird look.

LOLFAIL.

i am out of things to say. Except THEY TOTZ HAVE LEMON TEA HERE. IN BIG BOTTLES. ITS AWESOMIZZLE.

My host aunty is coming over today. We hung with her yesterday. I like her lots. She v cool.

Swimming Carnival + Movie Night = I'm tired this morning.

Swimming Carnival yesterday. My house won the house spirit. Yellow came first. I painted my nails. Green. See the picture to the left.

After the swimming carnival, I had a movie night. I had Jade, my bffl, and four other friends. Jade and one other friend went home at like 10.30. After trying to get me to watch The Hills Have Eyes. I viciously refused. I have no desire to ever see that film. >____>

So the selection of films was:
  • The Day the Earth Stood Still
  • When A Stranger Calls

Now I thought we watched others but I've had four hours seep and I don't remember.

That is all for now. Ima see if In the Night Garden is on.

Ancient. Trouble. NOTWIN.

So, my Ancient History exam was today. I didn't know any of the answers because I've not been paying attention. I instead decided I'd write my teacher a letter. I also drew a fail-narwhal. I thought she'd find it entertaining and it'd give her a break from marking.

But no.

"This is not appropriate." >< I had the best intentions honestly. "I feel, as a professional, I have to read this because you've answered some of the questions, but I have to dig through this to see what is actually worth marking. That shows a great lack of respect for me." *aidandies* "Also, if QSA decides as such, I may have to send this away to panel and somebody from another school will have to read it." *AAAAAA*

I am sorry, if you're reading this. I doubt it, but you know.

Ack...

She's gonna talk to the senior school co-ordinator, and idk what'll happen. >.>

Idk.

I've been stressing. But I gotta let it go eventually.

10 days.

Very essited.

Ack.

Had my last music lesson today. It was sad. I bought her chocolates. She gave me gobstoppers. "I thought the might shut you up for a while". NOT LIKELY.

Last night I had my last shift at work. Very sad. >< I nearly cried.

Then, like two hours later I decided I needed a hug and then started crying.

FAIL.

Today was fail.

Swimming Carnival tomorrow! If my bffl can find a dress, I'll be Buttercup.

WIN.

Time Machine Blog Series #10: Come to detention with me!

This really sucks. Lunchtime detention. I'm HUNGRY. And, I have to stay here till the end of lunch. LAME. Four people in my Legal Studies class didn't do our homework, and I'm the only one who turned up. FAIL.

Also, this teacher|supervisor|thing is talking to Morgan about BCT. WHUT. THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK. Them and the air conditioner need to SHUP UT. (Spelt wrong on purpose, courtesy of Jade's little brother).

It's over. Bye.

YAWWWWN

I am so tired.

So, I'm supposed to be writing my IPT assignment right now.  I mean, it's due Thursday and I've only just started it tonight.  It will fail at marks.  But I will try to fill it with teh lulz.

Like, my title page reads:
Recommendations for a School Computer Network
Produced for Mr **** **********
Principal of Timbuktoo Secondary College
by Aidan ********
Technician d'extraordinära
On behalf of Hemsk Industries
Date submitted: Thursday 5 March

Who liked my clever use of Swedish (thank you Google translate)?  Extraordinära means extraordinary, duh, and hemsk means awesome.  I like to annoy him.  The old teacher was way betters.

And then, in my abstract:

The reason for this report is that of a blatant inefficiency within the College's network.  Come on, there's not even a network.  How stupid are you lot?  Anyway, this report will help you n00bs fix your mess.

^___^

I'M SO TIRED.

I THINK I MIGHT GO TO SLEEP. NAO.

Also, who follows my twitter?  If so, you know stuff that peeps who cbf looking at the twitter badge don't!  If you read my tweets that is.  For example, some peeps I followed through Lili now know more about me than most peeps at school.  Which is good.  I'd rather have randoms know stuff than my "friends".  Because apart from, Jade, my bffl, and a handful of others, they're not real friends.

Such is life.

Also, apparently I fixed the interblag.  Yay!

-----
wubaidan

Um, like, whoa!

I think.

My MacBook Pro has decided it likes the internet now.

Wow.

^____^

If that's the case, I'll be happy.

This is my way of testing. If you read this, it winned!

Time Machine #....9(?): Bus Trip to Rocky!

Hi guys!! I'm in a bus! I'm in a bus! Everyone look at me cause I'm in a bus! ^___^. Seriously though, I'm typing away at my aPod (aidan+iPod=aPod) on the bus sitting next to my bffl. Today will be awesome. I hope. The teacher we thought was coming actually was replaced by one I don't like so much. >___> oh well.

My bffl is appalled by my taste in music. She showed me this band she was listening to, they're called Ill Niño, and they're some Spanish screamo band. I didn't like them. I'm listening to Kanye West at the moment. She apparently doesn't like him.

Well she can GTFO.

I'm so over this cold. OH MY GOD CHANTELLE HAS MINTIES!

There's twenty days left in Australia. I was having doubts last night. After dying from Jade and reading the old yearbooks. My bffl was so cute. She's grown into a beautiful young woman. ^___^ ~awwww~. I am my own audience!! You know canned laughter? Well I have canned AWWW.

My bffl is on her hipshit. I want an iPhone. Buy me one. Kthxbi

I have my maths assignment here. It's due tomorrow. Fail.

The Story of How Jade Killed Me. By Aidan

So, yesterday Jade killed me. It wasn’t violent. It was, however, the most painful thing that’s happened in my life. Jadii McRadTabulous, as she is known in IPT (according to my database) did the cruellest thing. She gave me a goodbye present. It wasn’t like the earlier one she gave me, the dictionary of random words we keep adding to, or the little Asian-style baby-Converse. It hurt. She made me a track, basically a mixtape.

I cried. Then stopped crying, and went to hide in my room. I cried. And I listened to it again when I was doing the dishes. I cried.

It was so sweet. I don’t care who sang, though they were good. I don’t care what the songs were called. And while I do care about the lyrics and what they meant coming from Jad, that wasn’t what meant the most to me. Wanna know what did? The fact that someone I love went out of their way to do something sweet in their own way. And since then, I need to do something back. But I don’t know how. I now have a piece of Jade for when I go. I want to give her a piece of me back. I’m not gonna do the whole blood-brothers thing, as OH MY GOD THERE’S A GUY ON [V] DANCING IN A SHIRT AND UNDERWEAR! Oh, it’s the Dukes of Windsor. They’re coming to Boyne Island in April.

So I’m broken. I don’t want to leave. On top of that, I was looking at our yearbooks and now I’m more dead. I killed Jade last week and now she killed me.

I’ll never recover. I finish work for the year on Thursday the 12th, and my last day of school is Thursday the 19th. Jade, we have seventeen days together. Well, thirteen. Plus any out-of-school time. I have twenty-one sleeps (including tonight’s, which I’m coming up on fast) until I leave for Japan. Far out.

Also, going to Rocky tomorrow. There’s this Project Compassion thing going on that looks interesting. I’ve established why I’m going. I shall represent it in chart form.
Why I want to go to the Project Compassion thing in rocky tom... on TwitPic
Yes, Macca’s after. On the word of the teacher. Keep in mind, I didn’t know when I went to ask. It was 45% for day off and 55% because I was interested. Macca’s sorta was a good selling point though.

I’m taking my Maths assignment because it’s due Tuesday and I’ve not quite finished. My LifeSkills assignment, I can finish in like half an hour. It’ll be win. My IPT assignment is due Thursday and I haven’t started. It will be fail intelligence-wise, but win lulz-wise.

LEEKSPIN DOT COM

Oh my god.

Okay, so I'm at school right now.

And my bffl told me yesterday of the funniest thing ever. LEEKSPINDOTCOM. It is win. It's like Caramelldansen. It's a twenty-seven second loop from the Loituma version of the Ievan Polkka, a traditional Finnish folk song. It honestly just sounds like gibberish. I put it on in IPT and instead of telling me to stop, the teacher just came over and unplugged the speakers (he's given up on me, I think). I plugged it back in and after a minute he came over, removed the batteries and didn't give them back until the lesson was over. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun doing it.

Also today, I went to this personality test thing. I did the same thing two years ago. Two years ago, I was an ESFJ. Now, I'm and INFP. That's a hell of a personality change.

>___> d'urggg

I should be doing my Legal Studies work right now, but I'm not. I'm too lazy ^___^ Plus it's really boring.

So, I'm just gonna sit here and d'urgggg it up. Because I'm fierceeeeee like Laura (!!!!!).

Haiiiiyyy!

I have finished the Lost in Austen miniseries. Now, I said that this Darcy wasn't as good looking as Matthew McFadyen. But he totally was when he was in the fountain, wet in a white shirt. I lol'd.

It all turned out happy. Yay! I bawwwled a bit. Like when Jane and Bingley decided they couldn't be together. They later decided that Jane's marriage would be annulled and they would run away to America, have twenty-five children and name them all Amanda. It was very cute. And of course, Amanda ended up with Darcy.

Did I mention, 24 SLEEPS YO.

I'm excited.

I handed in my English assignment on Pride and Prejudice today. It wasn't too bad seeing I read only up to like chapter...8?

Another quickie!

Hii!

I was thinking: I try to keep my blog uplifting and interesting, because otherwise peeps won't read right? I have like five or six who actually read it anyhow. Laura, Sonja (#ithink), WKost (#maybe), Lili (#prettysure), my off-net bffl, and blogging newcomer bffl, Jade!!

Well, I was reading Jade's blog about how I was a bitch and broke her and I thought, huh. She tells the truth. See, when I resumed blogging, after my lengthy hiatus at during 2008, I came to feel people don't care about the sad stuff all the time. So I leave it out. You guys only get half of me. Which is good, and bad. Jadii at least told the truth. But I am depressing and I'm thinking I have some sort of low-level social disorder. My bffl has like PPD or SAD. LOL. SAD. It's Paranoid Personality Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, guize.

~Public Apology TIME~

Jadii, I sorry. I'm a bitch and you know it. I will kutabachimae if you want me to. I'm a manko face. But seriously, I'm sorry. Please don't hate me forever. I need news of your adventures in australialand.

~end~

That wasn't as quick as I intended it to be.

If you guys want me to have my emo moments, expect quite a few. If not, I'll stick to my relatively-happy, wacky self!

Oak anniversary!

Yo interblag!

This is my Oak anniversary. Why oak? Well, traditionally, Oak is the gift for 80th anniversaries! It's my 80th post.

I am so annoyed. My MacBook Pro is a bum about wi-fi. It won't blog, and won't email and everything's a pain. Right now, I'm VNC-ing to the other computer to do this. The wireless network seems to work fine but the router doesn't want to let me upload or summin. I dunno. but I'm about to rip my face off.

Still, it's fun. Also, PHOTO BOOTH YO.

Apparently, it's only this model of MacBook Pro that does it. Garrrr

Also, I really want this to be working for Japan. Though if it's not, I can always take it to the Apple Store in TOKYO.

The Oscars, yo.

Hi!

Yesterday was the day of the 81st Academy Awards. I'm not gonna go over everything because if you have interblag you can look at the Wikipedia list. If you don't have the interblag, you're not here now.

The Oscars were fun. I had a study day so I was home. I was supposed to be assignmenting but I got distracted by the Oscars. Wall-E got Best Animated Feature. I was so happy. There were many tweets.

These were the best bits:
  • Kate Winslet's dad whistling
  • Flicking to Angelina Jolie when Jennifer Aniston was speaking
  • Wall-E getting BAF

I had fun. It was better than assignments. I tried to blog straight away, but my Macbook Pro hates our crappy interblag connection.

My friend Jade just set up HER BLOG. Omg. She's come to join the awesome.

Um, Japan, yo. and #macbookpro

Oh
Golly
Me.
I know when and where I'm going in Japan.

I'm going to Yokohama, Kanagawa-ken, about 30km from Tokyo. I'm gonna go to this school called Yokohoma So-Gakukan High School. It's a co-educational private high school, and I'll be in what is about year 11. It even has a website. But it's in Japanese. Here it is on Google Translate. It's about 15 minutes from Kanazawahakkei Station. It'll be awesome.

Did you notice I haven't mentioned when I'm going? That's because I'm trying to find a website for a funky countdown timer.

Okay, found it.

I put the time as 4pm, I dunno when I'll leave Brisbane.

But, I'm leaving March 22, flying to Sydney, then to Japan, where I'll arrive on March 23. There's a five-day orientation, then my local counsellor or host family (they're only 30km away, probably them) will pick me up. I haven't got a host family yet. But will soon.

On Thursday, I got an ingrown toenail (eww) removed. I had Friday off school, and Monday's a study day, so it's good. It wasn't too bad. I hate needles and was nearly crying beforehand but I was okay during and after. There was the nerve-block needle, then like four saline ones to move it around. Then they started, it felt like they were clipping my toenails. I said so and told them they could do the rest. By the time it started to hurt a little, they were done.

It wasn't sore yesterday, but it's sore today. I find it odd it took a whole day and a half for the nerve block to wear off... although, when I had one in my arm, it took a week...

I'm psyched for Japan. And I got off work this weekend *points at toe* CRIPPLED.

My Macbook Pro is wicked. It's a bit bitchy with uploads, but I think that's our connection. I hope so. I hope this will post fine.

That's it, y'all.

Oh wait, I love Kanye West(KWest)'s new album. And I watched Wall-E today, Wub.

Urmmm. I can't think of anything witty here...

I haven't blogged enough lately. =/

And I don't have much to say tonight.

Tomorrow is a pupil free day and Monday is a study day cus all the teachers are going to panel and they can't get enough replacements or whatever.

I have three assignments, none of which I want to do. Though I have done my English.

Also, not giving up with the principal. She hasn't written me a letter, called me to her office or anything. I am going down on Thursday whether she likes it or not.

Now, for my new friend. In Joke. He added me on twitter so I went to his blog. He's SYN's comedy guy. He's clever.

When I was going to find his blog, I found this. It's Domonomnom. Basically, it's Domo-kun nom-nom-ing on whatever he can find.

It is wub.

Lastly, I found this girl on DeviantArt that does Doctor Who comics that are epic win. Find her here.

Fire = bad = floods. Fire =/=floods though.

Okay. Anyone with a television/radio/newspaper-reading-skill knows about the fires in Victoria. If you've lost anyone, or been affected by the fires, please know, we're so sorry.

Just as bad are the floods up north. They're gonna lose coverage and money to those in the fires. Don't get me wrong, it's important too, but you know.

I wanted to have an appeal at school for it. My original idea: free dress day. Apparently it'd already been put forward to our principal. Her answer? Apparently it was along the lines of "No, the students will be getting something out of it. They should be donating for donation's sake."

WRONG ANSWER, LADY! D'URGGGGGG!!

People are selfish. It's the sad truth. They're not gonna donate because it's the right thing to do. They need MOAR INCENTIVE. So, I decided, maybe we should have an unofficial, disallowed free dress day. Everyone turns up in free dress anyway. It would be good, I'd happily get suspended, except people might be scared and it'd be hard to keep under wraps. So my bffl and I had another idea.

We'll ask you to donate, pure and simple. Anyone who donates over a certain amount, maybe $5, $2, whatever gets to go in the draw for an iPod Shuffle and an iTunes card or iPod dock or whatever. There'll be incentive, see?

I wrote her a letter. The second in two days. The first was asking her to put a bin where people keeping dumping rubbish. This one, I suggested either she have a free dress day or go with my raffle idea.

She can't stop me anyhow. I'm not technically doing anything wrong. I hope she listens to reason though.

Also, I deleted my MySpace, FaceBook and Bebo tonight.

Oobleck, MacBook Pros and #MYLIFE

Firstly, I know you're all thinking ~Where the hell have you been?~

I've been schooling it up. As such, I've been busy.

Now, I know the next most pressing issue for you lot is ~What is this oobleck of which you speak?~

Oobleck is (according to Wikipedia) "a fictional form of green precipitation invented by children's author Dr. Seuss in the book Bartholomew and the Oobleck. The word has since been used to describe a mixture of corn starch and water used to demonstrate the dilatant property of non-Newtonian fluids."

~Who cares?~
Well, my bffl made me a wallet made of oobleck and plastic. It was very cool. It has since started to stink and Mum made me throw it out. Not before I got pictures though!

My wallet d'oobleck!! on TwitPic

...and inside on TwitPic

Today, Dad ordered me a MacBook Pro. Yay!!

Finally, in regards to my life.

Homework and Stuff

Yo.

So I've not blogged in a while.

School's started again, etc.

I have been reading Laura's blog and Sonja's. And WKost's. Incidentally, that noob went to see Duffy in concert. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Also, I just did my IPT homework.

What was it you ask? It was to research VMS.

Did you say "That sounds mighty boring Aidan!"

It was. I didn't do it.

"But you said you did homework!" you say?

I did. It wasn't VMS I researched though. I got Mr. ********** (teacher's name) to let me do something else.

"ORLY? What was that?" you ask?

The iPhone OS. It was fun. I wrote it by hand on A5 notebooks. It is 6 pages.

The last little bit reads as follows:
Basically, iPhones are awsumz. Buy me one and you can have my iPod Touch plox.

Kthxbi.

Also, read my blog.

http://awesomeaidan.blogspot.com

Epic winrar? I think so.

If you are in my IPT class and reading this, we can now be BFFs or BFFLs, whichever suits your fancy.

I worked a lot this week.

Monday: 8.30-2.30. Public holiday = Double time and a half. 8.44 x 2.5 x 6 = $126.60
Wednesday: 4-8.30. 8.44 x 4.5 = $37.98
Saturday: 11-6.30. Half hour break = 7 hours. 8.44 x 7 = $59.08
Sunday: 11-3. Sunday = Time and a quarter. 10.55 x 4 = $42.20
Total = $126.60 + $37.98 + $59.08 + $42.20 = $265.86.

I'll lose a few dollars tax but meh, I'll get it back. I have $650 saved for Japan. I'll save $150, then I'll have about $100.

I owe a BFF $20. = $80.

*siigh*

BTW, BFFL > BFF.

Princess Masako and school

Hi peeps.

I'm still reading The Game but I got bored.

So I started reading another book. It's called Princess Masako: Prisoner of the Chrysanthemum Throne. It's really interesting. The worst part is, I can believe it. Everything I love about Japan is coupled with strict protocol and age old tradition. The gist is that the Princess's fairytale has actually crippled her to a poor state of mental health. Though I think any monarchy could do that to a person.

When it came out, there was a lot of controversy. The Japanese authorities held press conferences against it, saying it was cruel and full of lies. I can imagine they'd be unhappy. Who wouldn't?

Meh. It's good.

In other news, I have work tonight, 6-9. I was gonna buy some stuff but I'll probably just get it before school on Tuesday because IGA closes at 9.

This is what I need:
  • Retractable Sharpie
  • Coloured Sharpies
  • Double-ended Fine/Ultra Fine Sharpie
  • Sticky Tape
  • Batteries (AAA's for my calculator, plus spares, and AA's just in case)
  • Band-Aids (Can't have enough)
  • Travel containers of paracetamol and ibuprofen
  • Cotton Wool
  • Paper clips

There are more things I could get, like a hole punch and stuff.

I get sick of never having the random tidbits that could help.

My biffel will give me the paper clips, so I'll do this:

  • Paper clips

Yeayyy!! iCarly is on!!

War

Alrighty, peeps. Last night I couldn't sleep so I started writing. I wrote a few crappy poems and then I wrote something else. I'm not sure what you'd call it, but whether it be prose, a diary entry or whatever, it has a point *shock horror*.

It doesn't have a title. Pick one.

Yesterday, my mother died. She was blown up by a suicide bomber. She was sent to the gas chamber. She was executed. She was stabbed. She was killed in the Iraq War. World War I. World War II. The Bosnia-Herzegovina Conflict. The Vietnam War. The Korean War.

Don't you understand? My mother was a victim of war. All war is the same war. There is no just reason for war. There is no more just a cause than peacefully ending war. There is no path to peace that can be followed violently.

Imagine a caveman. Simple. Dull. He has invented the wheel. His neighbour has found fire. He kills his neighbour for the fire. Now he is all alone.

Yesterday, my mother died. So did another mother. Two. Four. Ten. Fifty. She was innocent, a proud citizen of America. Israel. Jordan. Bosnia. Japan. Palestine. Earth.

We can't wipe out others. We can avoid them. Ignore them. Disregard them. Leave them alone. This call goes to Obama. Mugambe. Hamas. Israel. Africa. Europe. Asia. The Americas. Earth.

End the fighting.

The death of those killed in war is the greatest suffering one could ever inflict on a nation. A family. A mother. Daughter. Brother. Sister. Humankind. We all suffer.

Yesterday, my mother died.

Whatcha think?

I was feeling deep and meaningful.

You can do something for me.

Write about war.

Write about the pain.

Email them to me, or post them on your blog.

Let's make a collection. Get everyone you know to post about war.

Please.

layzeebloggar

I'm lazy.

I haven't blogged for nearly a week.

I've thoroughly creeped out WKost. He's my new mancrush.

Mancrush /ˈmen.kɹaːʃ/
  1. (colloquial) A crush-like but non-sexual feeling of attraction toward and admiration for a man

See, nothing bad at all.

I still like to creep him out, though.

(:

I's watching Law and Order. Just watched SVU and now Criminal Intent is on.

It's not as cool.

My biffel read Neil Strauss's The Game and said it was prime.

I got it from the library today. I started it. It's lol.

When we went to my grandparents, a chick that mum works with baby-sat the house. We left the animals here.

My cat Benji cut his stomach open pretty deep in a little hole and scraped up to his abdomen. He went to the vet to get sewn up. He now has a shaved belly and stitches. And he keeps licking it. If he keeps doing it, we have to get a cone thing. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

Time Machine Blog Series #8: Sunday, January 11, 2008

~yawn~ On the way home. I didn't write any more blog posts this weekend (my Time Machine broke) but it was a very short visit. My Pop had wi-fi, but it was a weird setup and wouldn't let my iPod in.

Meh.

I'm bored, hungry and suffering from a cruel sleep debt.

In short, I WANT TO GET HOME. I'm one hundred and sixty-six kilometers. According to the Navman.

I finished Ninteen Eighty-Four Saturday morning. It was great. Sad ending. I started Scatterheart straight away and I finished it about two hours ago. It was wicked!

Since then, I have stopped to have lunch, tried to read Stephen King's Lisey's Story (and failed), read the APC 2008 Annual that my Pop gave me, played Metroid: Prime Hunters on my Nintendo DS before it froze and I lost all progress. Yawn. Oh, and I've listened to an awful lot of t.A.T.u.

My phone's going flat. How will I text my bffl? How will I text Lili to say that her book was fantastic? Not that I would do that anyway; she's not Telstra and I've only got $3 credit. I get more tomorrow.

No work till Friday!! Yeayyyy!!

My house is twelve kilometers closer to Brisbane than Gladstone.

Lolwtf. Dad's listening to ABC Radio National. They're reading some story about transsexuality.

I am sooooooo boooooored.

Oh, and I was reading the Sunday Mail this morning and this Twihard (thanks for the new word go to Laura) was saying how Twilight is a really weak book and such but she's still hooked.

I lol'd.

I cannot possibly waffle on any longer. Except to say that I've wasted sixteen minutes and now there are only one hundred and thirty-two kilometers left.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

P.S. Did I mention I feel d'urggggggg?!

P.P.S. I saw Loathing Lola in Myer.
Didn't buy it though; no time.

Final thought: ;_____;

Final thought P.S. I got two new pairs of shoes. The first are Adidas sneaker types, $49 on special from $179. The second are $260 uber-formal ones that I'll have to use for school shoes. Apparently they don't make Lynx up to size 16.

Last thing, then I'm going, I swear: The trip did NOT feel this long the first time round. I even got Macca's this time >.< (118km left!!!!!!)

Time Machine Blog Series #8:Friday January 9th, 2009

So it's 10:42 and I'm in the car.

I'm so bored I think my brain might rot out of my skull.

I tried Nineteen Eighty-Four and read thirty pages or whatever but I got up at seven and I'm too tired for such literature. I hope to finish it tonight, because I want to read Scatterheart by some random.

there are some nice views here. I've seen many cows.

Dad put some random CD on and this song keeps repeating "Running around robbing banks all wacked off of Scooby Snacks!"

Aidan: LOLWHUT? ;_;

I feel a bit d'urggggg this morning. I think only sleeping from one a.m. to seven a.m. did it.

Ima go sleep now. Well not go anywhere, but you know.

^________________^

I had my little swimming lessons shebang today.

I have never failed more epicly in my life. I thought I was good at breaststroke. I had a rhyhtm of under, kick, pull, up, breathe.

Apparently, I was wrong. It's more like pull, up, breathe, under, kick, glide. I felt like a noob the whole time.

The lady doing it was like "Wanna take off your sunshirt?" and I was like "nooooooo. D'urggggg" >___>. Then she's like mmk whatevs.

Then I was like drowning while attempting butterfly. And she's like " wanna take it off now?" =D. And I was like "NO" <__<.

It was horrible and weirding and tough and embarassing.

I want to go forever ;__;

In other news, everyone's heard about the Arab-Israeli conflict occuring in the Gaza Strip.

The anger is justified. Israel was established around 60 years ago by the UN, and when this was done, it encompassed many of the holy sites in Palestine. Plus, the Gaza Strip is like the most fertile area. The anger is justified.

War is NEVER justifiable. There's never been any good come of a war. The Israeli PM or President or w'ever was like "There will never be peace unless Hamas recognises our right to exist and this will prove it to them". Really, Mr. Israeli Power Figure? There's a better way to get peace if you want it. Talk to the Hamas leaders.

Put. The. Freaking. Guns. Down.

Is 550 Palestinian deaths not enough?!

Is 140 dead children not enough?!

Anyone who's read my blog for a while knows how much I respect Queen Rania of Jordan. On her YouTube page, she talks about the conflict in a new video.

She states how it's not just a violation of international and humanitarian laws, but also moral code. She's right; this is a truly sad state of affairs.

D'urggggg

I am d'urggggg-ing for various reasons.

Primarily, because Laura likes it, I'm exhausted and a friend is nagging me to use Facebook more so we can keep in touch when she's in Brazil.

Topic one: Paramore.

I like Paramore. I love Paramore.

Or I did. I've known for ages that their song was in Twilight, I could handle that.

I tried to listen to it on YouTube today.

The video clip is in the forest that's s'posed to be the forest in Forks.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

In other news, ............................. There was more.

Um.

Oh yeah, Ima start researching philanthropic things young people can do. Youth philanthropy is interesting, and I want to write about it.

God, I cannot spell philanthropy right the first time. Ever. I type philantrophy. GAH.

I think I need sleep.

Oh, and, 60th post. Yeayyyy!

Nigh-Midnight Ramblings, including the eight stages of awesome withdrawal

Yo.

It's 11:36.

My biffel wants me to help her find some Marilyn Manson book in torrent form. We can't find it anywhere.

And I've been forced to go to bed at 12.

Parents = fail.

These are the eight stages of awesome withdrawal.

  1. anger
  2. despair
  3. annoyance
  4. loneliness
  5. anger again
  6. emptiness
  7. anger again
  8. faked contentment
There you go.

Yayyyy.

I will go wallow in forced-to-go-to-bed-ism now.

Scott Westerfeld and George Orwell (:

Okay peeps.

I just finished Scott Westerfeld's Uglies series. It was fantastic. C'est magnifique. Molto benè.

Seriously, they were the best books I've ever read. Makes me want to write a book.

I'd love to, and I've tried. But I get great ideas all the time and I can't incorporate them all into one book, so I give up. I can write poems, but just trying to write a short story is a challenge.

I could write a bunch of poems. Or I could write poetically and then translate it into prose.

Goddamn. How do cool peeps like Lili do it?!!

I've just started 1984. It's thinner but the pages are taller. Weird sized book.

Mehhhhhhhhhhhh.
