Laura showed me an article about baby names.
Aidan means 'fire'.
When I went on band camp, we went to a nursing home in a retirement village and I was talking to my friend's grandma.
She: "Aidan? That's a pretty name. Where's that from?"
Me: "Oh, Ireland."
She: "Oh wow, really? What's it mean?"
Me: "Fire."
She: "And are you a fiery person?"
Me: "Does loud count?"
She: *shrugs* "Close enough for me!"
Me: *blush* "It was very nice speaking to you."
She: "Oh yes, you too. You can kiss me goodbye if you like."
Me: *blushing fervently* "Oh, of course." *kisses Andrea's grandmother who I've known for a whole five minutes*
She: "I hope to see you again, Aidan, you fiery lad, you!"
Me: "Thank you so much." *walks away*
I was nearly crying when I got on the bus. She was so sweet.
It was tough, talking to them. Some don't reply and you don't know if they can hear you. The thing is, when you're a teenager, you're too young to have a conversation without replies. When a lady didn't reply to me and Shaun, he walked away ashamed and I just said "Thank you" and walked away.
Gah. What do you do in such a sitch?

Kthxbi
Aidan
